Post Land Listing

With the passage of the Farm Bill on December 20, 2018, hemp* is no longer an illegal substance under federal law and we will now begin allowing Oregon residents to create listings on Oregon Farm Link related to the growing of hemp. Prospective hemp growers are expected to adhere to all county and state regulations and to be respectful of any crop limitations specified in a listing.

As a non-profit organization, Friends of Family Farmers would like to avoid any potential legal and tax-status ramifications for facilitating the cultivation of marijuana and will continue our policy of not allowing Oregon Farm Link postings for the cultivation of marijuana at this time.

*Hemp is defined as cannabis and derivatives of cannabis (e.g., CBD) with extremely low (less than 0.3% on a dry weight basis) concentrations of THC. Cannabis with higher than .3% THC is considered marijuana and is still illegal under federal law.
