I have a ten-acre property in Twickenham (Wheeler County) that is close to the John Day River and not far from the Painted Hills.
It features a fenced-in garden area that is approximately 100’ x 55’, and two greenhouses (80’ x 20’ & 25’ x 20’).
The property is available for growing vegetables, flowers, various plants, and/or herbs. A half acre was recently plowed and I planted 100 lavender plants and a variety of drought tolerant flowers. The rest of the area is available to plant as well. The soil is PH 7.
A renovated, one-room schoolhouse is also available for classes, experiences, or small events.
I’m interested in a partnership for farm direct sales and to help provide various consumer experiences i.e. picking fresh lavender on the property and then taking a lavender oil and soap making class in the schoolhouse.
At this time there is no place to stay on the property so someone who has an RV is ideal. I am available to water plants daily so you do not have to always be on the property.
There are four cats that live on the property. If you have a dog(s) they are allowed but must be leashed at all times unless they are in the fenced-in garden space.
Starting a farm direct sale business, selling vegetables, flowers and herbs + offering various experiences to the public.
I have approved plans from the county planning department to put a private campground on my property. The campground will feature four campsites and two amenity stations which will include showers and bathrooms.
No farming or any major gardening is being done at this time.
Private well with lots of water.
Two greenhouses (80’ x 20’ & 25’ x 20’). A woodshed that also houses garden tools. Renovated, one-room schoolhouse is available for classes, experiences, or small events.
Riding lawn mower, hoses, sprinklers & basic garden tools.
All applicants are welcome regardless of race, sexual orientation or color.
