We have up to 5 acres of bottom land available for someone to farm/garden just outside of Ashland near Bear Creek. It is irrigable (TID & pond) and the farmer would be able to use whatever water was available after owners’ needs were met. A small part of the parcel had been used for hemp cultivation for 4 years, unused the last 3 years except for seasonal small-herd cattle grazing. Fencing would be your responsibility.
We would appreciate someone with some experience or training in regenerative farmıing-gardening methods. We would consider partnership in the beginning, but expect to get some rent income as the producer’s situation improves. We would consider a wide range of projects given that they use regenerative or organic/agro-ecological methods.
To have it farmed by someone with whom we have a compatible working relationship and in accordance with our ecological and conservation principles.
