Young couple seeking land to build our dream farm. Years of farming education/work experience and passion for growing food and fostering community relationships. Ideally looking for 20+ acres of organic/potentially organic land in the Willamette Valley or other NW Oregon areas, with at least one living structure and water rights to grow organic fruit/veggies and raise livestock. Our business partner practices bodyworks and Eastern medicine and would love to offer wellness retreats to clients including private quarters, professional bodyworks, home grown and cooked meals, childcare, farm tours/workshops, and special access to farm products. We hope to build a dynamic, sustainable agricultural ecosystem and incorporate educational opportunities and private retreat experiences to inspire and engage our community in stewardship and sustainable living.


What features of the property are essential?

1+ living structure, water rights, preferably farm structures (barn, greenhouse etc.), any possible infrastructure and farm equipment a big plus. Clear land for vegetables, pasture for livestock, some wooded area desired. Ideally land that is organic or has the possibility to become certified.


Describe your farming experience

Each of us has 3-7 years experience on organic/biodynamic farms, working on crews, volunteering, operating equipment, designing and producing value-added products, and participating in product sales. One of us has a Bachelor of Science in ecological agriculture and the other a Bachelor of Science in ecosystem ecology.

What are your short term goals for the land

Get to know the land and its needs, begin planting trees and growing a few choice crops/livestock to build a presence at farmer's markets and with local businesses.


What are your long term goals

Develop a sustainable organic farm ecosystem, incorporating vegetables, fruit/nut trees, livestock, bees, compost systems, native plant restoration etc. Establish connections with local businesses to share our products and grow a community of quality produce and meat, land stewardship and sustainable practice. Engage the community through educational opportunities such as school trips and outreach programs. Offer wellness retreats to clients including private quarters, professional bodyworks, home grown and cooked meals, childcare, farm tours/workshops, and special access to farm products.
