Young Couple Seeking land to farm ( either lease to own or trade for housing for time being) in any area of Oregon

Land Seeker Description

My boyfriend Dylan and I have been in love with organic farming, raising livestock and pretty much everything that is involved in farming and creating homesteads. We have worked and volunteered on many different types of farms all across America from dairy to permaculture. We both love animals and have a deep connection with them, honoring them for food, as well as for pets! We have raised meat birds, laying birds, goats, pigs, cows and dogs! We also have a huge passion for growing healthy organic food and medicinal herbs. I have been working on creating a small business for all of the products I make such as salves, tinctures, fermentation products and all natural beauty and skin care. Through our travels we have used WWOOF a lot to be able to learn while living, and we have learned a lot about sustainable farming, permaculture and have big dreams to farm our own land soon or someones else’s land! We both also love cooking and baking and are always looking for new unique ways to incorporate what we grow into what we are eating. Let food be medicine!! We are super open to any arrangement as we are seeking housing (which could just be our tent on the land) and a place to farm. Other than our passion for raising farm animals we also love wild foraging, mushroom ID and growing, beekeeping, and have worked on many fruit and nut orchards! We would love to get involved with people who have similar goals and interests as well as who care about the environment and the effects we have on it!

What features of the property are essential?

we are open to any options!

Describe your farming experience

We have farmed all over America in New York, Tennessee, Florida, Louisiana, Colorado, California, Arizona and Oregon!

Are you currently farming?

What are your short term goals for the land

I would love to sell my products and create new products using the crops farmed to sell at farmers markets/ online or at a farm store!

What are your long term goals

We would love to be contributing to a actual farm of our own whether it be a partnership or leased land, we want to provide healthy organic food to people of all ages and all areas and create a place for young kids to come sort of like a camp to learn about organic farming and animals!

Describe your housing needs

We are looking for housing but are very flexible with what that entails, we can live in our tent or van on the property or if there is a actual structure to live in that would be great too. We also love yurts and tepees so if the land owner was wiling to let us set one up that would also be great!
