I’ve always been passionate about the environment and taking care of our earth. Hobby gardening invoked something in me many years ago wanting to study horticulture in college but never going through with it. After being laid from my job this year after 4 years in the corporate world I am seeking to make a career change and one day own my own farm. I’m open to whatever life offers in the field but am especially interested in growing fields of lavender and flowers for others to enjoy and fruit to pick. Growing and producing as I’m aware is hard work, but very rewarding. One day I hope to raise a family and teach them to care for the world like I do.
Water, electric, barn and irrigation
Interested in certified organic but not a deal breaker
Little experience. Backyard gardening + a few classes at university of Delaware in greenhouse propagation and one botany course.
Learn the basics, would like to find a good mentor to teach me best practices and look for my own parcel of land to own in 1-3 years and grow my business, build a farmhouse of my own.
I would like to own a lavender farm where people can visit, berries you can pick yourself. With some land with a bnb to earn additional income. Looking to be self-sufficient farm with a full range of different crops. Being able to start and support a new family in the next 5 years.
May or may not need housing, depending on the situation
I want to share the farm with others as much as possible. To be a welcoming space where people can come for low price/ free to enjoy it.
To contact a land seeker, you must first create a land listing and have it approved by our staff. Thank you.
