Land Seeker Description

A few friends and I are looking to lease some land around the Portland area, ideally 30mins outside of city or less. We are planning on growing flowers and veg. All have experience farming and are kind, enthusiastic, hard working people. Ideally we would find a space with greenhouse, access to tractor, and easy water access.

Each of us have 3+ years of organic farming experience and a lifetime of gardening experience.

What are your short term goals for the land

First year hoping to experiment on low stakes, selling to friends. Overtime we would like to sell at farmers markets and share our knowledge with friends and people wanting to learn.

Own a flower and vegetable farm, buy land and teach.

What will you do as a farmer to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone on your farm and in your community?

All three of us are committed to sharing our information on growing and land stewardship and creating a safe place for people to come and learn about to tend the earth. As people with diverse backgrounds, we understand the challenges of entering into the field of farming and want to create a safe, nonjudgmental space to work with the earth.
