Land Seeker Description

We are an open-minded, blended family that primarily has experience with backyard gardening and studying homesteading practices. We are seeking 5+ acres to grow our knowledge and experience with biodynamic farming. We are also extremely interested in cultivating a small commercial farm stand that provides produce to our immediate neighbors commercially.

Since learning is always a priority, we want to explore providing small self-sufficiency classes to the community to encourage increased land stewardship. In addition to the above, we have a passion for supporting youth in our community, so hosting an outdoor program with the goal of sprouting a love for nature in our youth.


What features of the property are essential?

Housing, electricity, water rights, barns/structures, farming equipment, pasture, fencing, quality soil to farm a diverse crop assortment, and the liberty to add to the established structures on the land for the betterment of the property.


Describe your farming experience

We don't have any hands-on farming experience, but we've been doing years of backyard gardening, research, and we are excellent students for a willing mentor.

What are your short term goals for the land

Establish ourselves on the land, amend the soil and property, plant a garden, obtain poultry birds, and establish a small, commercial farm stand to sell extra produce to neighbors.


What are your long term goals

Refine our farming practices with a focus on sustainability. Obtain livestock such as hogs, goats, sheep and a dairy cow. Expand our commercial farm stand to meet community needs. Make connections with local schools to provide educational farm programs.


Describe your housing needs

We need housing with ideally 3+ rooms, a kitchen, 1+ bathrooms, and all the standard household amenities. We are a blended family with three kiddos.
