My family and I are looking for a farm (preferably organic practices) in Jackson county to start a regenerative ag. farm that focuses on building topsoil to heal the land. Plus, cultivate nutrient dense vegetables, fruits, eggs and meat by utilizing natural farming practices that use cover crops, natural inputs, biofertilizer, biostimulants and working with nature.
Water rights, flat land, barn, greenhouse, irrigation, well, pasture, woodland, electricity, and fencing.
My first farm experience was at a farm that practiced natural farming in Hugo, OR. During the harvest season, I was put on a lead role and helped manage up to 12 people. I wanted to focus on growing nutrient dense vegetables so I applied for the regenerative ag. farm fellowship program that was organized by Rogue Farm Corps and Family Nurturing Center. I completed the program last year and now I’m part of the farm team. We provide weekly CSA style food and produce bags to 40+ families and fill up to 4 food pantry locations in the region. We grow mixed vegetables, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, herbs and pasture/greenhouse layers. I’ve introduced natural farming practices to the farm and I’ve been applying indigenous microorganisms, natural liquid fertilizers and biostimulants on our soil and crops.
My passion is in soil and regenerating the land by utilizing natural farming techniques, such as inoculating the land with indigenous microorganisms. Setup pasture raised layers for rotational grazing and free range layers on living soil that breaks down their wastes (no smell). Plant perennial berries, fruits and mixed vegetables with asian varianties to bring diversity to southern oregon. Make value-added products with the vegetables that are grown on the farm such as: many varieties of locally made kimchi. Build a relationship with restaurants and grow local produce for restaurants (especially asian restaurants).
My long-term plans are to establish my natural farming practices and provide natural farming workshops for the local farmers and to the community in southern oregon. I would love to extend the farm to have a farm to table (Korean BBQ) experience for the local community.
3 bedrooms house or a yurt. Option to build out housing.
I believe it’s very important to have an all-inclusive environment for people of diverse backgrounds. The soil is very diverse with many different types of microorganisms and the soil food web. It’s working symbiotically with nature and it’s important to have diversity in our community to share our knowledge and wisdom. Heal the land, plants, animals, humans and the community through natural farming and love.
To contact a land seeker, you must first create a land listing and have it approved by our staff. Thank you.
