Greetings, Our names are Jacob, Tsehai, and Mike. I, Jacob, have PDC and my wife, Tsehai is a Holistic Nutritionist and Mike is our 15 year old son. We would like to apply what we have learned to create an education site for Permaculture and Health and Wellness. We am interested 1-7 acres for establishing poly-cultures of medicinal and edibles plants. Ideally we would have enough land for a kitchen garden, food forests, a pond or 3, and a few areas for experimental gardening and agro-forestry practices.
We are very open to working with the property to establish the proper environment for what we are trying to accomplish. Ideally the land will be chemical free. No previous use of fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides if possible.
I have some experience working on farms and gardens, and many years of landscape maintenance. I have a PDC and I am studying to become a master gardener and will continue to educate and apply what I have learned.
To build high quality organic soil as we grow medicinal and edible plants. The plants that we grow can be sold at our farm stand and at the local farmers market. Classes will be held on the land to show the process of building soil, composting, growing cover crops and plants for mulch, establishing a kitchen garden and a food forest, how to use the plants you grow to heal yourself and family, your food is your medicine, making juices, healthy meals, tinctures, teas, tonics, cleanses and more.
To continue with the classes as before, expanding and developing more classes as the land grows and changes. The first poly-cultures and food forests will be well established. Along with classes on permaculture, we will be offering classes on health and wellness along with wellness retreats. The produce grown on the farm will provide the nutrition during the retreats as well as the overall environment playing its role in health and wellness of the participants.
Ideally a 3 Bedroom house or the space required to setup other housing accomodations.
As a permaculture designer and holistic nutritionist, we adhere to the ethical principles of Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share. We must first take care of the Earth, if there is no Earth, there is no people. Ensuring that the land is safe and hospitable for the life that it sustains, allows us to ensure an environment that is also safe and welcoming to the people on the land. Making sure that everyone gets their fair share also makes people feel safe and welcome, it makes a person feel included as a member of the farm and community. My wife and I also come from diverse cultural backgrounds. We site that just as it is in nature, diversity makes us healthier and stronger, each one teach on, iron sharpens iron.
To contact a land seeker, you must first create a land listing and have it approved by our staff. Thank you.
