We have been raising purebred Oberhasli since 2013, and dairy goats in general for almost 20 years. The purebred Oberhasli in particular are a threatened heritage breed. Our animals are tested clean, productive, and thriving. Life changes are moving us from Arkansas to oregon, and the goats are part of the package. We would also like to raise bees again, and grow fruits and vegetables.
Barn with electricity, access to water for the animals, somewhere for the humans to live.
My husband grew up homesteading in Idaho, and I have a biology degree which I use daily in my farm practices. Between us we have 30 years combined experience.
Establish a customer base for the dairy and produce
Grow the herd to continue to be hardy and genetically diverse with the use of AI and selective live breeding.
3 bed, 1.5 bath. I am also an artist and would need a studio space
Not be a racist ass, which coming from Arkansas I know people will be skeptical of. But it’s one of the reasons we are leaving. It’s not safe here for my queer siblings, and definitely not safe for BIPOC. I want to create a safe space for everyone.
