We moved to Oregon in the fall for my job and I am looking to transition to more farm-based work. I would hope to start with flowers, herbs, and veggies that can be sold at farmer’s markets along the coast. After doing so, it would be our hope to use that money to care for the land, purchase animals, and plant on a larger scale. We are looking for land that has a property for us to live on as well.
For our family, electricity, water and on-site sewer are essential.
We only have experience with "backyard gardening".
Our short term goals include flower and vegetable farming to bring in more funds to be able to purchase equipment and animals for larger scale farming.
It is our hope to use any income from our short term plans for our long term plans. We hope to purchase animals, farm equipment, and take care of the land as our long-term plans to provide produce to our local community.
We are looking for at least a two bedroom house but are open to other options.
