I am interested in moving back to Oregon after having lived in Montana for 7 years. Over that time period I have practiced raising goats, chickens, turkeys; keeping bees and a small garden for personal use. My main interest is in dairy goats, but using permaculture techniques to create a holistic agricultural system that the excess products can be sold from. I have a degree in sustainable design and am looking for under utilized land to start a small farm.
Minimal, water available, access.
I have experience working on a 30 acre farm just outside of Forest Grove, Oregon. Have a degree in sustainable design with a focus on natural building and sustainable agriculture.
Short term plans would to create a small scale production operation to start the farm itself. Once it is established then expand to provide more products ie, honey, dairy products.
Ultimately am interested in starting a goat dairy/creamery operation.
Depending on the location I could either update housing, create a small living quarters, or rent. Flexible.
I hope to create an example of what can be done on a small scale to take care of the land and support the local community.
To contact a land seeker, you must first create a land listing and have it approved by our staff. Thank you.
