Seeking purchase or lease to own: 5-10 acreas in Clackamas or eastern Multnomah counties

Land Seeker Description

My daughter and I are looking for land, with or without a house, to begin farming. I have been a WWOOFer for many years, and she is working as a landscaper. We are both familiar with permaculture and organic gardening. The focus would be on vegetables and herbs, possibly orchard, grains, or goats for milk or chickens. Small scale at first, with a possible educational component for things like composting toilets and solar design. Right now mainly looking to resettle out of Portland to the edge, and grow our own food, see what looks promising to develop into. Mentoring from an established farm might work but is not necessary.

What features of the property are essential?

Water rights. Open to a number of other situations.

Describe your farming experience

Permaculture design course online, WWOOfing

Are you currently farming?

What are your short term goals for the land

Grow most of our own food. Offer help to other farmers.

What are your long term goals

Educational center or restaurant.

Describe your housing needs

Either a place with a house or a site that could hold at least one house.
