Land Seeker Description

Hello,

My partner and I are looking to leave the city and find a forever home in the country. We’d love to act as stewards for well-loved land and work with you to transition ownership with respect and care. As we’re new to farming we’d be very glad for mentorship opportunities, if available. We are especially interested in properties with potential for no-till and regenerative farming practices, silviculture, and/or boarding to support an animal rescue. Thank you for your consideration!

  • Evan and Laura

What features of the property are essential?

Move-in ready home. The rest is work-out-able.

Describe your farming experience

A bit of backyard gardening, really. Not much though we are dedicated learners.

Are you currently farming?

No

What are your short term goals for the land

If not currently present add solar panels/batteries, solar water heaters, perhaps a small pond (if appropriate), drip irrigation (if needed/helpful), cover crop, and some rotational grazing. If allowable by code build a few small trailer-based tiny houses for agritourism and education into regenerative farming practices.

What are your long term goals

Potentially season extension green houses with additional solar panels. Ultimately we'd like to find our forever home and work the property with the sense of leaving it for future generations in as wonderful a condition as possible.

Describe your housing needs

Ideally 3-4 bedrooms, though there's some flexibility here.
