I am a beginning farmer who has been working on farms in the Valley since 2016.  I have been farming on a biodynamic/organic certified farm and am looking to expand my incubator projects into a full business and am looking for land to purchase with water rights and housing for my family.

Describe your farming experience

I have been farming full time since 2017 year round at Goodfoot Farm which now includes management as well as general farm labor and marketing. I have had prior experience in agrotourism in Asia as well.

What are your short term goals for the land

Short term goals are to expand the layer flock to a profitable scale and add in more successions of meat birds in the year to build a customer base and increase revenue in the first years.

What are your long term goals

Building towards a biodynamic chicken operation-closing the loop and providing my own feed etc. And building in more produce or value added products to the farm over time.

Describe your housing needs

I need housing that is immediately liveable for my husband, myself and our young child, on the property to be purchased.

What will you do as a farmer to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone on your farm and in your community?

I will work to provide and inclusive atmosphere to guests on the farm and employees who work on the farm with no tolerance for discrimination. I will work to listen and learn from different voices in my community and connect where possible with other businesses and members of the community who offer different perspectives and issues.
