My wife Charlotte and I, along with our two Basset Hounds, are determined to relocate from Southern California to Oregon and turn a part time side passion of ours into a new career and lifestyle. We will be new to the farming community and are open to, if not eager to apprentice with a veteran farmer(s) who is in need of help and/or looking for someone to successfully take over and passionately keep their farm thriving for decades to come.
I have been working in the Post Production industry for film and television for over 15 years now and am eager and excited for this drastic and much needed change. Charlotte is a writer and works from home and has been leading the cultivation of our large backyard, now filled with various species of plants and herbs including thyme, dill, sage, rosemary, parsley, basil, and a burgeoning vegetable garden with tomatoes, chard, carrots, lettuce, green onions and squash. She has also been doing freelance landscaping.
I am also an avid builder, having turned our garage into a full on living space, built our deck and most of the furniture in our house. Charlotte has also been a production designer for films and music videos, as well as a passionate interior designer. Any farm or home in need of upgrade or repair would be in solid and dependable hands.
We would love to hear from you! Contact us at any time.
Alex & Charlotte
A house to live in, water rights, on-site sewer, irrigation structures, electricity, any necessary farming equipment for what's currently being produced.
15+ years urban gardening and landscaping. Passionate about native plants and sustainability.
Preferably to secure a previously established farm with a house on site. Would love to apprentice and learn from a verteran farmer. We would love to establish a strong connections to the community, while also securing an online presence. Having worked in post production for years and Charlotte having done freelance website building and design, this is an area we feel strongly that we would thrive in. We would dedicate ourselves to maintaining and furthering the established farming on site, and solidify a course of action to continue that into the long-term future.
We would explore any outlets to improve and expand the farm. We would like to drive customers to visit our farm in person and take classes on how they could follow a similar plan of action or tailor it towards their goals and desires. We would also like to use our decades in film and television production to expand visibility to, not only our farm, but other local farms in Oregon by developing a strong online presence via an inter-active website, instructional videos and eventually a web show.
A house for two adults and two dogs (with hopefully more Basset Hounds on the way!)
