Seeking Purchase or Creative Solution: 21+ acres within 1 hour from Portland Airport

Land Seeker Description

My business partners and I (3 of us) would like to create a Natural Solutions Center on a beautiful piece of land that’s within 1 hour of Portland’s airport.  Our purpose is to promote individual happiness and growth, develop strong community connections to the land and influence environmental healing.  We intend to carry out our purpose through spiritual retreats/training sessions, community education events and bio-dynamic/regenerative farming.

Land requirements:  Recent history of affectionate care.  Soil, crops and animals suitable for organic, bio-dynamic and/or other regenerative farming processes.  Zoned to allow hosting of small retreats, research/educational activities and community events.   Ability to produce sustainable income from crops.  Creek or spring water and a variety of wildlife.

What features of the property are essential?

Water rights, electricity, on-site sewer, on-site private well, pasture, creek or other running water, woodland and healthy soil.

Barns and crop-supporting structures, large house consisting of multiple bedrooms & bathrooms, conservatory and buildings to use for small indoor event hosting.

Describe your farming experience

2 of us have no farming experience. We have backgrounds in finance and personal development. Our 3rd partner has 10+ years in biodynamic winemaking and lavender related products.

Are you currently farming?

What are your short term goals for the land

Our short term goals are to develop bio-dynamic/regenerative farming processes, explore sustainable business models for small farms and establish local community relationships. Our crop preferences are wine production, fruits & vegetables and medicinal herbs.

What are your long term goals

Our long term goals are to increase individual awareness of natural health, promote strong local community connections and host research/educational organizations that want to further develop natural methods of farming that improve the global environment and promote diversity.

Describe your housing needs

2 of us currently live in the area and 1 of us will travel frequently to the farm from Northern California. The traveling partner would like to have a dedicated room to stay in during visits.
