Young family looking to raise our kids in the country, the best way we can. Our goal is to build a sustainable future for generations, that our families and community can build from. We currently use organic practices on our urban garden and want to continue to do so and incorporate biodynamic and permaculture practices on a larger scale to support not only our family, but others as well.

Looking for 2 acres level land with additional acreage natural forest, ideally. Semi/year round creek would be a dream come true.

Describe your farming experience

We have lived in the city for the last 10 years and have had an urban garden that we've grown more and more each year. We have tried multiple techniques to maximize space and yield including raised beds, vertical beds, succession planting, no till and have added multiple greenhouses to extend the short growing season in Central Oregon. Prior experience also includes bee keeping.

What are your short term goals for the land

To build a homestead and sustain our household needs which includes year round growing and harvesting.

What are your long term goals

We want to build a farm to table business to support local chefs with online ordering capabilities. Set up a 2+ acre U-pick, build a youth oriented/community farming education center with tours and workshops and possibly be a venue for events and gatherings. We hope to have multiple ventures to diversify long term income potential.
