Hello, we are a young couple (Andrew and Andrea) in our 20’s looking for a small property to start a small-scale CSA business on. We both have college degrees and experience on farms. We would be using Organic (Not Certified) sustainable farming methods only. Our main interest is in vegetable production but we’d like to grow some fruit, mushrooms and flowers on the land as well. Ideally, we would want a partnership with a landholder providing them with vegetables and a share of the profits. We’re also very open to other business arrangements. We’re happy to share our resumes if you’d like to reach out, contact me by email at: email@example.com
Access to water, no chemicals recently sprayed.
Andrea has about 2 seasons worth of experience working on small diversified farms in both the Midwest and the Southeast. She has a Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Agroecology and Sustainable Agriculture from Appalachian State University. Andrew has about a year's worth of experience (over several seasons) on an Ornamental plant nursery and has done independent landscaping work in the past. Andrew has a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and Sustainable Development from Appalachian State University. We both have resumes and references which elaborates our skills and experiences. Please feel free to reach out and we will provide with those.
Our short term goals are to find a small piece of land to start a small-scale CSA business. Selling at farmers markets, and potentially restaurants. We plan to use Sustainable Organic practices (without certification) and would like to primarily grow vegetables, fruits and flowers.
Our long term goal is to run a profitable and sustainable agricultural business that benefits our local community. Once we have more experience under our belts, we'd love to host interns and mentor others on how to sustainably farm. We'd love to get hens, have an orchard and start beekeeping. Depending on the situation we might be open to raising some livestock as well.
We would be open to a housing opportunity, but not at all necessary. We do have 1 35lb very well behaved and trained dog.
To contact a land seeker, you must first create a land listing and have it approved by our staff. Thank you.
