I am seeking out grazing pasture for beef cattle in Northwestern OR or Southwestern WA. We are purchasing a small farm where we plan on raising beef cattle and dairy goats. However, with a limited acreage on the farm, we will need to supplement our own land with leased land. This will allow for a greater herd size while not over-utilizing the land and damaging soil health. I have a background in rangeland management and prioritize soil health and regenerative practices over profitability. Besides my academic background in ag, I grew up on a cow/calf ranch in CO and have worked cattle across the west and even in Australia.
