Seeking lease to purchase Hood River County / Gorge area.

Land Seeker Description

My husband and I are relocating to the Hood River area and we come with two mini donkeys, chickens, dogs, cats and horses, no children. We would love to continue an existing farming business with the assistance of owners. Ideally lease to own. Orchard, vineyard – we are open, ready to learn more and be successful. This would be my fulltime job.

What features of the property are essential?

Open to work with what is on the land now.

Describe your farming experience

I grew up on a large working farm with barley and wheat as a primary produce, meat/dairy cattle and sheep. Chickens, goats and plenty of horses.

What are your short term goals for the land

Learn as much as we can to understand what is best for the area and property itself. Come in and be sponges to what it takes to running a farming business.

What are your long term goals

Continue the legacy of the previous owners and enhance the property the best way we can.

Describe your housing needs

Not fussy for housing, a roof over our heads would be great!

What will you do as a farmer to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone on your farm and in your community?

Be inclusive and active in the community by attending any meetings and having a voice in plans for the future. Speaking up. Acting appropriately.
