I moved to Oregon a few years ago and am looking to get more connected to this beautiful land. I’ve been dreaming of owning a farm for my whole life and finally have enough resources to get started. I’ve studied permaculture design and have been backyard gardening for years, and now I just need some real on-the-job farm experience. I’m especially eager to keep bees! I recently learned it has been a tradition in my family for generations. I’m also excited to start growing chestnut trees, as I originally came out to Oregon to help create a chestnut-promoting nonprofit up in Portland. We’ve already distributed over 8,000 chestnut saplings in the area! Please reach out or visit buildsoil.net if you’re interested in getting some, even if you don’t mean to connect about land leasing/sales.
Water rights and zoning rights to build a home if one isn't already present.
I have my permaculture design certificate and have been backyard gardening since a young age. I also have a college minor in ecology.
Sheep husbandry ideally for meat, fiber and dairy. Bee husbandry for honey. Herb and vegetable production.
Chestnut and fruit tree orchard and associated specialty products.
I would like to purchase housing along with the land but am flexible as well.
I will always keep an open mind and heart to members of my community both nearby and on a global scale. I want to help people rediscover their connection to the land and natural rhythms of life.
To contact a land seeker, you must first create a land listing and have it approved by our staff. Thank you.
