Hello, my name is Nicole. I am looking to start a new small scale vegetable farm. Im looking to manage/run about 1/8-1/4 of an acre (13-15, 50ft by 30in beds). I have hands on experience and have read many books. Looking to start small and scale up as I learn the ropes of managing a business and everything in between.
I’m very interested in soil health and how it plays a huge part in sustainable and regenerative small scale farming. My fuel really stems from feeling wronged/mislead by food corporations, my love for nature and the planet we live on and wanting a simple and rewarding life that aligns with my values.
Water, cleaning and packaging station, shed for tools, compost pile and area for compost coming in for the beds.
Personal garden, volunteer at local farm, reading many books, listening to podcasts and books, watching videos.
I would like to start growing greens and herbs to sell to my community via CSA, Farmers markets, or restaurants.
I would like to scale up each year until I reach 1-2 acres, from there I would like to purchase land and create a place where we can hold educational classes. I would like this to be an education farm where anyone can come and learn to grow there own food.
