Couple in their 30s looking for land for gardening/farming with a house or live-able structure. We collectively have over 25 years of organic farming and landscaping experience with knowledge of vegetables, tree fruit, seeds, livestock, and cannabis. We both work full time now but are looking to grow food for ourselves and others and try to turn it into a business.


What features of the property are essential?

Property with housing and water (water rights or well okay). Other items such as a barn, woodland, pasture would be great but not essential.


Describe your farming experience

-12 years experience organic vegetable, fruit, nuts, and livestock farming.
-13 years cannabis and gardening experience, 2 years landscaping.

No

What are your short term goals for the land

Improve soil nutrition, experiment with vegetable varieties, start saving seed. Start selling seeds and value added products such as pickles, sauerkraut, and kimchi.


What are your long term goals

To own a small piece of land and house.


Describe your housing needs

1-2 bedroom house/apartment with laundry.


What will you do as a farmer to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone on your farm and in your community?

I would like to grow food for food banks and people in need as much as possible. I wish to revitalize some food not bombs meals and/or give produce to the local soup kitchens.
