We have been growing and raising animals on a small personal scale for about 20 years. Recently, I began formalizing a plan for a sustainable farm. I am looking to raise sheep for meat. I have successfully raised sheep for seven years. In addition to sheep, I would like to raise mangalista pigs. Some of the crops we raise are Garlic, squash, pumpkins, peppers, tomatoes and herbs both culinary and medicinal. We farmed about 2 acres when we lived in San Joaquin Valley. My husband completed the Master Gardener program in 2014 and Last summer/fall I completed the OSU Small Farms Program in 2020. Although we own our home in Grants Pass, we do not have good water or soil to grow. We are looking for an opportunity to use our extensive knowledge of farming and animal husbandry to generate farm income.
