I am a beginner farmer/intermediate gardener with a few years of experience on a flower farm, fruit orchard, and hemp farm. I am seeking land to be able to farm biodiverse crops of flowers, fruit, vegetables, bees, and possibly raise goats for land management.
Water
I have worked several seasons as an employee and a volunteer on various farms which include a flower farm and a fruit orchard. I built greenhouses, prepared soil and garden beds, prepared seeds, planted, maintained, and harvested crops. I have also worked on a “food forest” and large homestead garden in exchange for room/board.
My short term plans are to grow and cultivate organic fruit, vegetables, flowers, and honey for sale, starting fairly small and expanding over time, in a way that is economically viable and maintains the health of the soil and ecosystem with regenerative practices.
My long term goals are the same as above, with the possibility of sharing land with others and stewarding land with ecological priority. I would eventually also like to include some animal stock for land management and regenerative practices, as well as possibly creating farming and ecology workshops and educational programs much into the future.
My housing needs are minimal as I do not need or want a lot of house space. I will ideally be able to live on the land with an already established house/room, as I am currently building a small mobile home. Once the home is finished, I hope to be able to move it to the area that I am farming
