We are a professional couple with one full day time job and other free to get started one something new which we are passionate about. We are interested to start with farming in a small way to learn and put in hard work to understand what it takes to do a self sustaining small scale business.

We are looking for a small acreage land lot which has been used earlier to do farming and has access to water and a barn. As a newbie it would be great we can also get guidance on how to go about choosing the crops to grow, sowing/caring, harvesting etc.

Nice soil (loamy) for vegetables, water availability and irrigation structure, Barn , electricity and a on site sewer

Directly not much to say in terms of experience other than back yard farming. Though we both belong to families who have been doing farming.

What are your short term goals for the land

Start small and learn. Thinking of starting with growing seasonal vegetables, mushroom and flowers to sell in farmers market.


What are your long term goals

See if this something as a family we want to invest and grow.


Describe your housing needs

No housing needed as such. It would be good to have place sit down during the day.


What will you do as a farmer to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone on your farm and in your community?

We have had a wonderful experience working and raising our daughter in Portland and wish to respond the same way with everyone.
