Seeking land to lease in Deschutes County for sustainable farming

Land Seeker Description

I have been in farming for 5 seasons and have started my own produce business. The land I am currently leasing is going up for sale in the spring. I am currently in need of land close to Bend for the next season, and hopefully more beyond. I do not require a lot of land, around an acre should suffice but I am also willing to take on more. I practice sustainable growing techniques without using any chemical fertilizers or pesticides. I look to create a functional food ecosystem.

I have been working for a flower farm outside of town for 5 years. I am currently in my second season with my own farming business.

I want to continue building up my business and making connections around town. I have hopes of buying my own land in the near future.

I want to create a beautiful, sustainable farm that functions like an ecosystem.

Describe your housing needs

I currently have a place to live till June but I would like to eventually live on the land I farm.

I believe that everyone is included in farming. No matter where you come from, what you believe, what you look like, who you love, you are a part of the community and a part of the future of farming. My focus is to invite anyone and everyone to learn and enjoy where their food comes from, learn the importance of sustainability, and reconnect with nature. An ecosystem cannot function well without diversity.
