Land Seeker Description
My husband and I are open minded earth centered people looking to make our dreams of living off the land come true. We don’t have a ton of specific ideas about what the future may hold, but we have broad interests and a passion for learning and working hard. We will get more concrete ideas as our journey unfolds. I have always dreamed of building my own house since I was a child, so that is definitely on the wish list. We have a newborn and are looking forward to raising him in a farm environment. My husband Toby, has much experience to bring to the table including, construction, fencing, farming experience, and nursery experience.
What features of the property are essential?
I don't think we know enough right now to know what is essential for us, that is why conversations with landowners will be helpful. I will do some more research in the meantime to see what we might find essential and will update this if anything comes up.
Describe your farming experience
I have moderate gardening experience and am a Naturopathic Doctor.
Toby has ran an aquaponics farm for 2 years and helped run an organic native plant nursery for 4-5 years. He has worked in the fencing industry for 7 years. Toby has much experience with using heavy machinery.

What are your short term goals for the land
Get on some land and start building a commercial farming business or helping others do so while we get setup.
What are your long term goals
Have a permanent setup, including a home and some land along side a successful commercial farming business either with others or alone, ideally with others.
Describe your housing needs
We would like a 1-2 bedroom home, but we are flexible.
What will you do as a farmer to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone on your farm and in your community?
Remain heart centered, continue to educate ourselves, continue to be open to diversity.
