Land Seeker Description

Seeking Pasture Grazing Land for lease suitable for up to 300 feeder cattle. Preferably in clackamas or Marion county, but would consider central or southern oregon

What features of the property are essential?

Proper fencing for the pastures to keep the cattle contained.

Describe your farming experience

Current ranch with cow calf operation, expanding into feeder cattle. Farm management experience of guiding farm clientele as their cpa for over 20+ years. Many extended family members are involved in the beef cattle ranching industry, managing well over 8,000 acres of land for their cattle to graze in.

Are you currently farming?

Yes

What are your short term goals for the land

Current plan is to lease from now (may) until time feeder cattle are sold (sometime in sept thru nov).

What are your long term goals

Much will depend on the success of our own pasture rejuvenation efforts. If I’m not able to locate and acquire more pasture land to be able to handle more feeder cattle each year, then I would consider establishing a long-term lease if the pastures are at an acceptable standard and condition.

Describe your housing needs

Not needed.

What will you do as a farmer to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone on your farm and in your community?

We are an all inclusive and diverse operation looking for long-term relationships and building the community to be a better and safer place to raise families for generations to come.
