Seeking land for flower farm in Northwest Oregon

Hello all!

I am currently seeking farm land to lease. My goal is mainly to grow specialty cut flowers for wholesale and events, but I’d like to have some food crops in production as well

What features of the property are essential?

Access to water, barn / workspace, electricity for cooler, forest / uncultivated land would be great as well

Describe your farming experience

I was a member of a farm co-op in Oregon for three years, growing veggies and flowers. I spent one year on the crew of a veggie farm on Whidbey island. Then three years in the Hudson valley on a cut flower farm, two of them as the event lead and harvest manager. During the winter I’d return home to Hawaii and help out on a friends flower farm. I’ve also graduated from the GoFarm training program in Hawaii

What are your short term goals for the land

Growing cut flowers for wholesale and use in weddings and other events. I have 10+ years of floral design experience so that will be a big part of adding to the business and another revenue stream. I’d also like to have a roadside stand and sell to local florists and shops

What are your long term goals

To have a brick and mortar shop / nursery space to work and sell out of in addition to the farm

Describe your housing needs

Would prefer to live on the farm land if housing is available, otherwise would need to find something nearby

What will you do as a farmer to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone on your farm and in your community?

We’d be open to employing people of all different backgrounds. I’m very interested in teaching so would like to have workshops for the community as well as open farm days so people can come visit and learn about what we’re doing
