My name is Jasmine, I currently work for Portland Public schools alongside studying herbal medicine. I am seeking a small plot of land to eventually own and cohabitate with like minded people in my community. I am interested in growing fruit, nuts, vegetables, herbs and flowers. My vision is to get back to the land and provide a healing and safe place for BIPOC. The goal is to have more space to grow herbs so that I can expand my small online apothecary, earth flower apothecary. With access to more land, and an abundant garden I would like to leave my day job to solely run my herbal business and vend herbal medicines, fruits, and veggies at local markets making organic and fresh produce more easily available to marginalized communities. Ideally looking for something 40-60 minutes outside of Portland, but open to other locations.
-On site sewer
-on site housing
I grew up gardening, I definitely inherited my grandmothers green thumb. I volunteered at Zenger farm a few years ago and have I have done a lot of community gardening.
-Get established with the plants that are already existing.
-Plant herbs that I use in my herbal tinctures.
-Plants crops that are specific and native to the land.
-Learn about irrigation structures.
-Grow my herbal business and leave my day job
-Host other BIPOC that are interested in farming.
-Become totally self sufficient on the land.
-Take on bees and chickens, possibly goats.
I would need housing on the property. Preferably something with at least 2 bedrooms.
