Land Seeker Description

Seeking Farm for lease close to Portland for a husband and wife farming duo.   We are first time farmers in the US but come from an agricultural background in India. We actively grow at our home and community garden plots and want to expand this interest to farming on a 2-5 acre farm. To start with, we would love to be mentored by experienced farmers who are interested in a partnership or leasing their farm business.

Describe your farming experience

I have no farming experience in the US. I come from a family of farmers in India. I have completed a farm management course from OSU. Looking to learn to farm hands on while being on lease for cash. I am a software engineer by profession but would love to shift careers into farming.

What are your short term goals for the land

Short term goal is to start a farm and grow for the community with holistic and regenerative growing practices and turn it into a thriving farm.

What are your long term goals

Develop a farm that is lucrative while being sustainable, organic and healthy. It might be wishful thinking at this point, but we also would love it if we can provide farm and agricultural education that interests the coming generations to become more involved with farming.
