Seeking at least 15 acres in western Oregon for homestead and farm

Land Seeker Description

We are two families looking for land to buy or lease to own within 60 miles of the coast. Must have a water source and or water rights. A creek would be ideal but springs work as well. Need Cell service capabilities and while we are working towards an off grid system I care for my elderly mother so we need electricity for her oxygen machine. Would love for it to have a livable structure that we can build upon. Must be accessible by a regular vehicle.
We plan on a few hoop houses for microgreens as well as vegetable beds and some livestock such as chickens and goats. We plan on organic so a past of non pesticide use would be ideal. I have a degree in Sustainable Agriculture and we have experience in Herbalism and natural building. The other woman is a Midwife/ Doula. We have two grown children with us and 4 children. Ideally we are looking for 40 acres of mixed forest/meadow with a creek.

What features of the property are essential?

Water rights a well and a water source are all essential. I would like a mix of forest/meadow(pasture). A barn would be super. Fences would be exceptional.

Describe your farming experience

We have always had productive gardens and I got into raising chickens 7 years ago. I went to school at age 47 to learn Sustainable Agriculture to live the life I have always wanted. We have collective experience with gardening, herbalism, animal husbandry and natural building.

Are you currently farming?

What are your short term goals for the land

I plan on having 2 hoop houses dedicated to salad greens and micro greens for sale to restaurants and farmers markets. I also plan on having a green house to grow some exotic plants for a nursery in San Francisco from which I already have a buyer. We also plan on growing herbs for teas and herbal tinctures.

What are your long term goals

Long term I would like to raise goats and make artisan cheeses as well as the above. Also the expansion of hoop houses and market for microgreens, salad greens and hot house tomatoes. I am also continuing my education and plan on teaching Regenerative Agriculture classes as well as natural building workshops.

Describe your housing needs

Ideally the property would have a permitted structure to live In while creating cob and or log studios. A barn would be a huge plus.
