We are a small cider company who manages a few leased acres of apple orchard with the express purpose of making orchard-specific natural cider. We are interested in working with orchard-owners who need help rehabilitating or maintaining their small orchards within a 30-50 mile radius of Eugene.
We have experience with pruning, thinning, fertility management, and generalized low-chem pest control methods. We are also up-and-coming cider makers with a long history in natural wine making.
If you have an orchard in disrepair or in need of management or consulting, we are interested in connecting with you. Our goal is to collectively nurture healthy trees and orchard ecosystems to produce fruit of exceptional quality which reflects the particular terroir of the site.
Particular soil type (eg. limestone, clay, silt), certified organic land, land access in general.
We have been farming for ourselves for three years, and farming for other during that time for over five. Most of our work has been with orchards and some annual vegetable production
We intend to steadily increase our cider production through management / stewardship of existing orchards over the next 3-5 years. We are interested in transitioning to organic certification and in doing so, begin to potentially involve sales to schools and other institutional or wholesale / restaurant accounts.
Along with planting / grafting new orchards to specific cider varieties, we would like to increasingly form partnerships with other apple & pear growers to ensure a robust supply of certified organic fruit from which to increase our cider production and also buoy the value / production of our partners through brokering / collaboratively selling the highest quality fruit to schools, other institutions and other wholesale accounts.
We are both in secure housing in Eugene.
Invite people to meet us where they are. Regardless of our differences in backgrounds, we can all break ground together and steward the relationships we have with land and one another
To contact a land seeker, you must first create a land listing and have it approved by our staff. Thank you.
