Land Seeker Description

Young family looking for land to rent/lease and/or eventually buy. Permaculture mindset. Wish to raise animals for ourselves and local community.  We wish to join farmer markets, sell locally to families and restaurants, and provide our family with better food.

Have experience with pasture chickens, small gardens, and teaching horticulture.

What features of the property are essential?

Water, soil, electricity, sewer rights.

Preferably a barn and home.
Or ability to have one built.

Currently raising pasture poultry and a small garden. Grew up on a grass fed beef farm. Maintained orchards.

What are your short term goals for the land

Establish infrastructure for all animals we wish to raise. Start building soil health. Limit or total removal of pesticides/herbicides. Start farmstand or farmer market stand.

What are your long term goals

Have a established home for family and friends. A go to place to teach horticulture and ranching. Have everything paid off and a legacy to pass on. Have a enriched livestock genes for multiple animals. Have a rich soil for ranching or farming on. Live/eat 100% on everything raised/grown on the farm.

Describe your housing needs

Would love to have enough space for 2 adults and 3 kids. Maybe more kids in future.

What will you do as a farmer to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone on your farm and in your community?

Farmers rely on each other. Support fellow neighbors and the community by donations or events.

Eventually provide trainings to others who wish to live a more simpler life.
