My name is Eleyah Knight. I am a mother of 2 and owner of a Natural Medicine Clinic in Ashland. I am also the Southern Oregon Director of a start-up nonprofit called Legacy Earthkeepers Academy of Permaculture. My children and I currently reside in Talent and are seeking a place to learn and teach permaculture, regenerative building, natural self-care, and eventually animal husbandry skills for children and their families.
I am in a financially stable situation and would love to invest into the renewal of our planet by stewarding and offering a plot of land with year- round water resources and ability to support at least temporary structures such as cob buildings and yurts.
Preferably I’d like to lease to own but I am very flexible and am happy to start with leasing or even trade, if Chinese medicine services and/or permaculture classes with land revitalization are of interest to the owners.
I’d love to meet a land owner who is also flexible and shares the vision of supporting our youth in connecting to nature and learning self-sufficiency skills that help regenerate the environment.
Thank you for your time. I’m looking forward to meeting you and your land.
water rights, good quality organic rich soil, access to water year round, ability to build at least temporary structures including composting toilets, a well would be nice but not necessary
I have helped start community gardens and work on farms in various places around the world, including Zambia and Borneo. I have also volunteered at farms of friends in California and Oregon to learn basic permaculture skills. I also have connections with several farming instructors who are available to come out to a property and teach classes.
To have an accessible educational area in nature for families to learn enriching Earth-based skills and how to live on the land.
To live on the land as a steward with my children with permaculture projects continually being worked on. Also to relocate my small private Chinese medicine practice to this area if appropriate structures are available or could be built.
I have a house I have been renting in Talent with my children. My plan is to move onto farm-able property once we find a location that has a building we can live in or are able to build a livable dwelling on it. The land we are seeking could be used for this purpose but at this point the priority is to have it available to learning opportunities and long-term development.
To contact a land seeker, you must first create a land listing and have it approved by our staff. Thank you.
