Land Seeker Description

I am a cut flower grower looking for 1 acre of land to farm. I use only organic materials for my flowers and grow several varieties but predominantly dahlias.
We started in our backyard and looking to expand our operation but have run out of space.
We don’t need any tools, just land and access to water.

Describe your farming experience

I grew up backyard farming with my mom. Anything that could grow in Boise Idaho we grew it. I spent my entire youth helping my mom manage our family vegetable garden and mass of rose bushes until I left for college. This past year I took up flower farming and our operation has grown in popularity quickly. Though I only have one year of growing cut flowers under my belt I have years of honing my green thumb on corn, peppers, fruit trees, berries and gourds.

What are your short term goals for the land

Growing dahlias, zinnias, amaranth, celosia, ranunculus and other types for diy buckets, wholesale stems, market bouquets, and CSA subscriptions

What are your long term goals

Expand the operation to U-pick and events. Still focusing on flowers

Describe your housing needs

No housing needed, we can commute. However we would be interested in a 800-1600 sqft housing space if possible.

What will you do as a farmer to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone on your farm and in your community?

Im very progressive and come from a mixed race background so being respectful of all people is very important to me. I believe that authenticity and transparency is the best way to foster healthy relationships.
