Hello, Anthony and I (Sarah) are a couple living in Bend, Oregon. Anthony is retired from the military and I have been working in restaurant management. We live in a new RV and are currently renting space on a horse ranch. We are thoroughly tired of the rat race that is living a 9-5 lifestyle and our plan is to transition into careers in farming/animal husbandry. We both have enjoyed many years of backyard gardening as well as experience in organic farming.
Our goal is to find an opportunity to learn from an experienced farmer that is looking for help in managing their land. We are both friendly, quick learners and extremely hard working. We are looking to eventually own land and establish a business based on produce/goat milk products, but are currently unable to purchase/lease land. The ideal setup would be to live on the farmer’s land in our RV (we have a compost toilet so no septic is required, only power & water) while working/learning.
We would wish to work on land that has not been conventionally farmed.
Organic produce farming (Non-profit 8-acre farm that donated produce to local food banks, 15+ acre farming, planting, weeding, harvesting, tilling, basic construction-fence & lodging), backyard gardening (vegetables, herbs, fruit trees)
Learning from an experienced farmer while providing labor. Gaining skills to begin a farming business or creating a business partnership with current landowner.
Purchasing land and establishing a farming/dairy business, or continuing/creating a business partnership with current landowner.
Space for RV; water & power required
To contact a land seeker, you must first create a land listing and have it approved by our staff. Thank you.
