Hello I’m Russell. I was born into the farm life and from a young age I learned to run farm equipment about 7 and 8 yrs old stared driving equipment. The last few years I’ve ran a 2,200 acre operation with the owner just a 2 man crew. I did 90% of all the hay harvest of +/- 600 acres and the rest of the land was Timothy wheat and peas.
I’m hoping to find something to lease/lease own.
Good way water farm land I’m ok if I need to update some water lines but would prefer not to have to upgrade much. Would be nice to have a barn to put either equipment under or hay or both. Would like to have a house either harvest season or all year round.
Well for personal family my father and us boys help him off and on with alfalfa/grass and got into corn plots and cattle.
When I went to work for farmers I’ve done cattle dry land wheat and different types of grain. Than the irrigated hay etc.. I went to college for welding program. Got Washington state WABO certified in welding. My father taught me general maintenance on most farm equipment.
I planned to plant alfalfa for the first 6 or so years depending on stand. Than rotate to some else.
I’m hoping to either lease to buy or buy land to keep it as farming purposes.
If the property is big enough I’ll run some cattle and grow hay.
Yes it would be nice to have a house for the harvest season at least. Or all year.
Well as my parents said when I was young is to treat others the way you’d want to be treated. And not to judge others, be polite and respectful to everyone. I was raised up to have good values.
