Looking for land to start a healing community for foster families

Land Seeker Description

I am looking for acreage to start a sustainable community for foster youth and their families to build tiny homes out of recycled material. We will be building an aquaponics system to feed the families, and will be focusing on healing and supporting one another. Hopefully near the Portland metro area, or near the Gorge. Thank you! I hope that this vision will one day be a reality so that we may better serve foster youth in Oregon, providing them with love, stability, and permanence.

What features of the property are essential?

Water rights, or private well.

Describe your farming experience

I have been gardening my whole life, and have helped friends on their farms. I am eager to learn and have a friend who is willing to build and teach how do grow food using an aquaponics system.

Are you currently farming?

What are your short term goals for the land

We would like to build an aquaponics system, build 10 tiny homes, and rent some yurts to put on the land.

What are your long term goals

We would like to build 25+ tiny homes along with continuing our aquaponics system. We would also like to have rescue animals, and chickens.

Describe your housing needs

We do not need any housing, as we will be renting yurts while we are building sustainable tiny homes. However, if there is a home already on the property that would be wonderful! Thank you!
