We are a family in search of a farm to live on and look after. We are a fully organic family who has raised chickens, goats, sheep, and grown large vegetable gardens for personal use and for trade (always growing more than we need, but it has seemed to be beneficial). We love to work and live off the land. We know how to use farm equipment and love to learn what we dont know if there is a need. I, the mother, have lived from here to Massachusetts and have moved back to the PNW which I call home to raise our family. I was born and raised in Oregon and have a pretty vast background in herbalism. I studied and graduated from Tibetan Medical school and am going back to school for a number of things from phycology to sustainability. I love to learn. All that aside I have lived off the land many times in my life from no electricity or running water to retreat cabins in the woods for months at a time. Now that I have a family I have dreamed of living on a farm and teaching my kids about sustainable living, having the freedom to be kids as well as the important values farm life gives and nourishes them. My partner is a jack of all trades. He works on a ship cleaning up oil spills and is what we call a full-blown sailor. He has experience in raising livestock and also has worked in construction. He is a volunteer firefighter when he is home loves to help and work within the local community. Together we have 4 kids ages 2 to 7. We have both lived in houses that we have had to completely transform and love to improve where we are.
We are extremely awesome, resourceful business professionals with lots of experience in life that want to work and live with the land!
We would love a barn or some kind of structure to be able to build what we need while working on the property. Otherwise nothing specific.
Together we have limited farm experience. I grew up growing large gardens out in the woods and in cities smaller-scale ones. My partner has raised many farm animals from sheep for meat, chickens, and goats as well as gardening experience.
We are very open to what is needed, but looking for something more long term.
We would love to find a place that we can really settle down and work on. I feel like you can start to get the hang of things within 5 years and hoping to find something longer term so that we can be productive in what we do.
We are in need of a 3-4 bedroom house that we are very open and motivated to fix up if needed.
To contact a land seeker, you must first create a land listing and have it approved by our staff. Thank you.
