What features of the property are essential?

Water rights, electricity, barns would be nice, good soil, land should be flat light slope

Describe your farming experience

My family has grown corn and other vegetables for the past ten years. My friend and partner has 10 years experience growing marijuana legally. He is interested in starting growing hemp instead.

Are you currently farming?

Yes

What are your short term goals for the land

Retire from being a general contractor and farm full time. Our main crop will be Hemp. We would like to start at about 5 acres and to expand to 500. We will only use organic and sustainable farm practices.

What are your long term goals

We would like like to own/ lease several farms totalling in the hundreds of acres. The plan would be to mentor other farmers and help them become successful. They could either lease or purchase land from us. Our goal would be to pass the small farm tradition along
