Experience cattle rancher with small herd of Wagyu. Looking for land to help diversify their grazing areas as well as winter them. Ideal land would allow for growing the hay they would require in the winter, store machinery, provide hay storage and have area where they can winter.
Water, irrigation, electric, hay barn
Raised cattle in Texas for 20 years. Started herd of Wagyu in Central, Oregon 6 years ago. Have been selling high quality, non-certified organic beef since starting the business. Own and maintain 653 acre ranch in Prineville.
Have location close to Bend where the genetics of the herd can be improved and health carefully monitored during the winter. Grow hay for the herd on the property during the spring/summer. Location to store beef and sell to the public located in Central Oregon and more easily accessible than the Prineville ranch.
Increasing the herd to 70-80 animals with the highest quality Wagyu beef available in the region. In order to reach this sustainable number, additional land will be added to the business over this time including both grazing and hay producing properties. Eventually, the beef will be sold to both public at large and restaurants.
None.
