Land Seeker Description

Hi, my name is John Brubaker.  I am an experienced farmer, grower of food of all kinds. My experiences have included , commercial organic farmer, propagation of non gmo seed stock , animal husbandry with veterinary assistance to licensed vets. Herd health, raising all kinds of animals for milking, butcher and herd propagation.  I have been involved in commercial fishing catch and sales, including farmers markets with seafood and veggies.   Mycology has been a hobby of mine for over 30 years , I have raised edible mushrooms for profit in the past as well. Many years of construction and repair including my own business.  Currently am partnered with family in the midwest where a 20 acre farm has been developed from stump land  and now has functioning orchards ,gardens etc.  I live currently in Brookings,OR and I am looking for a situation where I can apply myself wholeheartedly to a beautiful piece of Oregon land, or one that i can make productive. my ultimate desire is to work with a land owner that may or may not  want to remain on their land and be very flexible  on creating a mutually agreeable situation for both of us. A caretaker manager situation with the rights to work the land and maintain the infrastructure with the ultimate goal of purchasing all or at least some of the land would be my goal.  I have many credible references if ever needed and would supply them if requested. I have evolved a  large non gmo vegetable seed library and am experienced at grafting and creating healthy orchards and soils.  So that’s me in a nutshell.  Thanks . John

What features of the property are essential?

water is essential obviously . Abundant water is better. Barns. tools etc are pretty handy most of the time. more infrastructure in good repair or repairable is good. Previously worked gardens are great and having a lot of cow poop is perfect.

i'd like to own the land i start working within a few years.

What are your long term goals

To have a functioning piece of farmland that is naturally abundant and healthy for myself , the animals and for the food it can produce for humanity in general.
