We are a family of 1st generation farmers, though my grandparents, and great grandparents on both sides of my family were farmers. Who are looking to return to the land, support our multigeneration family, and produce income through organic and regenerative produce and egg laying hens. We’d eventually like to add cattle to the mixe to regenerate soil and sequester carbon.

 

 


What features of the property are essential?

water rights are important and Agricultural zoning. It would be great if the land had never seen pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides. electricity and housing are important as well as we plan to live on the farm.


Describe your farming experience

1st generation farmers, I have a lot of garening experience, am highly motivated to learn, am rasing chicken and treat my current 1.4 acre property like a small micro-farm. I am capable of a lot of DIY work, and have not found a project that has bested my family (my dad, myself, my brother and my 3 boys

What are your short term goals for the land

To sustain our family, and start to explore ways to support ourself with farm enterprises like Direct-to-consumer sales, value added products, farm store, and farmers markets.


What are your long term goals

A fully sustaining diversified farm that produceds good quality food for the local community and or family. Ideally practicing regenerative practices to help make farming ecological. Subscription boxes and CSA


Describe your housing needs

we will need a home to live in and ideally location for an ADU or parking sport for an RV or trailer.


What will you do as a farmer to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone on your farm and in your community?

We plan to make good quality food available to all people of all races and creeds. We want to make food inclusive and allow those who don't come from means to have access to healthy, non-processed foods. We'd like to make a portion of our proceeds available to the marginalized and less fortunate. Additionally, making the farm accessible in an ADA way is important to us as well. So that All feel welcometo visit the farm for tours and are welcome to visit.
