Hello,
We are looking for an opportunity to have adequate space to start our dream job of farming and raising animals. We would like to have a nursery and orchard and raise bees are the biggest things we would like to do along side of vegetables and mushroom growing.
What features of the property are essential?
In order to do this the most important thing would be water rights and accessibility.
Describe your farming experience
My grandfather and uncle raised alfalfa and other hays in the high desert of Oregon, I worked for the OSU experiment station in Hermiston for a short time, have worked for a mint farmer, worked in the fields pulling weeds and hand harvesting corn and multitudes of other crops, and worked for an old man taking care of his ranch for a couple of years at a time.
Are you currently farming?
Yes
What are your short term goals for the land

What are your long term goals
Our long term goal is to be able to live and earn a living by working the land and be a benefit to the agricultural community.
Describe your housing needs
I currently own my home in Umatilla but for the right reasons and location I would’ve willing to sell my home.
