Greetings fellow earth dwellers, my name is Katie and I’m an inspiring holistic medicine healer/herbalist/shaman. I really want to learn about sustainable living, and I really want to learn how to grow amazing organic foods. I currently live in St Johns, in Portland Oregon I am open to living on a property an hour or a little longer or closer to Portland because I am taking Shaman classes and Herbalist classes currently in Portland. But I really want to learn how to farm/grow my own food/sell my own food. I am also open to commuting, I am open to leasing/trading whatever is clever. I do know how to garden, but I really want to learn more from the master organic farmers in Oregon or Washington. I want to mainly grow vegetables and fruit but I am open to other things I would love to learn how to grow herbs, mushrooms, even bee-keeping. I am a vegetarian I don’t want to be involved in anything that would be against my practices. I am open to learning/helping with free range chickens or like milking goats or something. My boyfriend might want to help me as well, we are a team but we are also independent minded – it depends. We might want to just lease a small amount of land from someone it really depends what is out there, and we would prefer it be less than a few hours from Portland we wouldn’t mind going a little bit far though. But I really would love to learn on the spot and live on a farm because the city is sometimes too much for me, and I love nature and I would love to be involved in a community of like minded people such as myself. I just started shaman classes , but in the future I am open to doing spiritual retreats and healings as well, I do believe that is called creative partnership. Once I learn enough I want to buy my own land and start an organic sustainable farm operation, I do believe it is the future. Thank you for reading this, I do hope you consider me. Bright Blessings , Love and light.
Water rights, on-site sewer or like eco-toilet, certified organic I would prefer, just whatever I would need to start this , I don't need a bunch of fancy bells and whistles but just the minimum what is needed to start this lovely beautiful journey I am embarking on. Namaste <3
I have some garden experience, not much farming experience but I am a fast learner and I am pretty intelligent so I get things pretty quickly and I am passionate about wanting to do this. So I have lots of raw talent that can be molded.
I want to learn how to farm, how to take care of chickens for eggs maybe, grow vegetables fruits, mushrooms, maybe taking care of bees? I am pretty open except for slaughter I am vegetarian, I don't mind milking or taking care of chickens for eggs if its free ranged, I don't judge if you are involved in that kinda thing as long as its organic for the most part. If I lease land with my boyfriend we would want to grow vegetables, fruit and sell, take care of the land. But i really want to learn from someone. I can figure it out myself though I am pretty ambitious. Honestly I can probably learn a lot within a year and have an operation running if someone teaches me well in that time period I am a really fast learner. Within a year I will be a fully certified shaman and I would have my own holistic healing business for people who need it , a spiritual retreat maybe, I already know a lot about herbal remedies and within a year I would know a lot more , grow herbs for medicine and healing . Im sure I could get it all together within a year or so and be really successful.
I would love to have my own land within this time, have my own farm, grow my own sustainable foods, sell the foods, take care of the land really well, have chickens that can room around with eggs, maybe a goat to milk, I would be a full shaman by than , have spiritual retreats on my land , help people with herbalism, shamanic and holistic healing. I would love to than start to teach others how to be sustainable, eco-friendly, off the grid by than as well. and even start to teach shamanism to others myself. I would love to start a community of like minded people , and do whatever i can to help the world , maybe start a non-profit, donate portions of what I make and heal the world the best I can.
I live in a condo in St Johns in Portland Oregon, so I don't technically NEED a place to live on a farm, but I would love to live on a farm if that is possible or be able to go back and forth because I really love nature and being away from the city it gets to much here for me sometimes, that being said I have to be kinda close to Portland because I am taking classes here.
