I am seeking others interested in forming a partnership which will lead to a land trust arrangement.

Land Seeker Description

I am a retired woman, and  owner of a small farm currently used as pasture for my horses, but my property lacks certain essential resources for developing in a regenerative, permaculture oriented direction. If I am able to find the right person or people to work with, I would consider selling my property ( which I own outright) and pooling  resources in order to purchase a larger, more suitable property, possibly to develop a land trust for succession planning. This would be only done with legal contracts in place to protect the interests of all involved, and the details would have to be mutually agreed on. This listing is intended only to begin conversations with like minded people.

What features of the property are essential?

The property must be zoned for residential use so that housing can be built. Water and electricity must be available; eventually other structures and energy sources can be built or developed. The soil must be adequate for pasture and agriculture.

Describe your farming experience

I have garden and orchard experience and much experience with horses, and have mentored a few people in basic horse care. I would consider doing horse ( and dog) rescue work in combination with small farm management.

Are you currently farming?

No

What are your short term goals for the land

Developing in a permaculture direction suitable to the local environment.

What are your long term goals

Continuing in a permaculture direction, and creating a viable land trust. I am interested in eventually mentoring others.

Describe your housing needs

Low ecological footprint housing preferred. I can provide my own short term housing.
